Canoeing Rules
Government Rules
- Canoes cannot get closer than 10 metres (35 feet) to any fish farm or bamboo (holding fishing nets)
- Canoes cannot get closer than 10 metres (35 feet) to any shoreline (the Lake shoreline is all private land)
- Guests cannot exit the canoes anywhere on the shoreline of Lake Batur apart from the C.Bali Launching point
- Care must be given around the Pura Jati Temple, and canoes should not get close to the statues or touch the Temple, Temple bridge or any water Statues (inappropriate poses in front of the Temple or Statues is strictly prohibited)
- The life jacket provided must be warn at all time - or the Harbour Police will fine you
- Canoes cannot cross in front of a local motorized boat
- Canoe Guests must dress modestly on the Lake - Lake Batur is a sacred Lake
- Canoes cannot get closer than 10 metres to the Kedisan Harbour (pier) - fines will be given by the Harbour Police should a guest try to dock at the pier
