Unplanned Adventures

Welcome to Bali

You've made it to Bali, you check into your hotel and then it starts to pour with rain and it doesn't stop. Or you head down to the beach and it's covered in rubbish (wet season problem). Or someone mentioned an ash cloud may be headed your way. Don't worry "Sing Ken Ken" as the Balinese say, Bali is a huge Island, there are many other parts of Bali you can explore for a day or even more.

Unplanned Adventures

Don't let the weather spoil your holiday, the weather is different all over the Island.
Think of it as an unplanned adventure

Unplanned Packing

Didn't plan on the weather, or changing locations? Don't forget that some areas mentioned are more traditional so long pants or a sarong are needed to be worn in the villages so not to offend. (good excuse to go shopping). It's much colder in the mountain areas so a long sleeve top for night will be necessary. If heading to Lombok, especially the airport, cover shoulders and wear long pants or long shorts, save the swimwear for the beaches.
Make sure you also check your insurance policy if going to other Islands, your cover may only be for Bali.

Ash Cloud

Other things to consider, especially if you have young children or elderly, wear contact lenses, or have asthma. Where is that pesky ash cloud today?
